This website belongs to John Empuerto, a web designer and developer in Cebu, Philippines. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit it or send me a message. If anything is unclear, email hello@johnempuerto.com.
What I collect
- What you send through the contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you add one, and your answers about your project (what you need, your current website, your goal, budget, timeline and any notes).
- Emails you send me directly at hello@johnempuerto.com.
I don’t use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies on this website.
How I use it
Only to reply to you about your project and, if we work together, to run that project. I don’t sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing, and I won’t add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
- Hostinger hosts this website and my email. When you send the contact form, your answers are saved in the website’s private admin area and emailed to me. Like any web host, their servers also record basic technical details of each visit (such as your IP address and browser) to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
- Google reCAPTCHA checks the contact form for spam. It only loads once you start the form, and it receives technical details about your visit (such as your IP address and how the page is used) to tell people from bots. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that check.
What your browser stores
If you switch between the light and dark look, your browser remembers that choice on your own device so the site opens the same way next time. It isn’t sent to me or anyone else, and you can clear it any time in your browser settings. If you start the contact form, Google reCAPTCHA may also store a cookie it needs for the spam check.
How long I keep it
Messages stay in my email and in the website’s admin area for as long as they’re useful for our conversation or project. Ask me to delete yours and I will remove it from both.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you sent me at any time. Email hello@johnempuerto.com and I’ll reply within 24 hours.
Changes
If this website starts collecting anything new, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
